On March 6, 2022, Freddie Mac introduced a desktop appraisal option in lieu of an interior and exterior inspection appraisals for certain purchase transactions that meet certain eligibility requirements. At this time Forward Lending has not released this option. Please share with your teams that the desktop appraisal is not accepted and that we still require a full appraisal product. Forward Lending will still allow the PIW when applicable.
